As you think about special things to do this Christmas season, we hope you’ll consider checking out the lights here at the Lake of the Ozarks! Our Osage Beach community has put a new spin (or shall I say spark) on the usual Christmas Light Park idea. The Lake’s first annual dock lighting contest is now under way and will benefit the Dogwood Animal Shelter. Dogwood Animal Shelter is a local non profit, no-kill refuge for more than 200 furry four legged friends waiting for a loving home. Hats off to Dock Realty owner, Dave Hotz, who is the spark behind this novel idea. You gotta know that he’s a dog lover!
Deck the Dock cruises will originate from the Celebration Cruise Ship’s Dock at the Grand Glaize Bridge on Hwy 54/Osage Beach Parkway each Friday evening at 7PM from now until December 23rd. Captain Mike’s boat will cruise between the 13 and 21 mile markers while folks on board “oooh and ahhh” at the dock lights! The cruise is two hours long and costs $16 dollars per person, of which $4 will be donated to the shelter. Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available.
What a great office Christmas party idea or a new way to show off our beautiful lake to your out-of-town guests!
