FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Missouri Innkeepers Gather at Annual ConferenceWestenhaver attend from Osage Beach 4/1/01 -- Innkeepers, Sue and Ron Westenhaver from The Inn at Harbour Ridge Bed and Breakfast, attended the annual Spring Conference of Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri, in Weston, MO, March 12th - 14, 2001. Joined by BBIM members from throughout the state, this conference offered the opportunity for member-innkeepers to network with colleagues, and learn from a number of exciting workshops pertinent to the hospitality industry. “I was fortunate to be able to represent Osage Beach at the 2001 BBIM Spring Conference,” stated Sue Westenhaver. “Innkeepers from throughout Missouri convened to discuss the state of the industry, share experiences, and learn from a number of worthwhile workshops and seminars.” According to an informal survey of Bed and Breakfast Inn of Missouri, innkeepers throughout the state are optimistic about spring and summer travel to Missouri’s bed and breakfasts. Despite economic indicators, consumer confidence about travel remains positive and innkeepers throughout the state agreed that the spring and summer months should be busy for their industry. Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri represent over 90 of the state’s premier bed and breakfast inns. Each member must pass a thorough inspection and rate high in offering genuine hospitality, a welcoming and pleasant environment, and a demonstrated proficiency in innkeeping to gain membership in the organization.
