Our Story

Thanks for visiting the website of the Inn at Harbour Ridge, a luxury Bed and Breakfast on Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks! Aren’t the pictures great? Here's our story. . . .My builder/developer hubby designed the B&B with lots of TLC and special touches. We built in 1999 and opened for business on Valentines Weekend, 2000. In the main house we have four very special themed guestrooms and in the Big Red Barn we have one loft suite. Just a whole lot of "whimsy" - everywhere! Since we're the new kid on the block and offer a contemporary setting - we call it country nautical- our "character" comes from the silly little touches - and my character, Ron. No one will call us stuffy!

In the Main House of our romantic Inn, downstairs we have a great room, which we call the 19th Hole. Wait till you kick back at the bar, enjoy the gas burning fireplace, choose a movie (your choice - chick flicks or action movie, classics or new releases) and even munch on the popcorn we provide. There's also a bar fridge that I try to keep stocked with soda, tea, and ice. Mr. Culligan's water cooler is also downstairs. Watch out when you start checking your swing and playing pro golfer, OK? I've already mentioned the hot tub that's inside the house in our Lake Room so we don't have to fight skeeters and snowflakes. (candles, tape deck, soft lighting -ummmm!)
   

We serve a delicious breakfast feast each morning. I love to cook so you'll probably smell muffins or mini loaves in the oven. It'll try my best to WOW you with my cheddar omelet, or baked cinnamon French toast and peach smothered sausages. Sometimes the fruit has a splash of Chambord or Port or who knows what I might throw on there!!! I'll deliver an early morning coffee/tea tray to you door so you can enjoy an early cup in bed or on your private deck. Let me know if you have any food allergies or preferences - we aim to please!

We live just outside the city limits of Osage Beach on a paved road and we overlook a quiet cove on the Lake, just back from the 23-mile marker. When we say we offer Lake lodging in Missouri, we aren’t kidding! Our community dock and swim platform is just down the hill. . . pack those little water wings! We're close to several golf courses and offer our guests discounted prices at Sycamore Creek Golf Club (you get to out maneuver their catfish ponds while playing). Fisherman, our last fishing guest caught 2 two pound bass in the back end of our cove! Shopaholics, we're just 8 minutes from 110 stores at the Factory Merchants Outlet Mall, where every day is a sale day.

Ditto, our painted cocker spaniel, is in residence and loves to snooze in our personal living quarters, unless invited out to play. In the warmer months the squirrels take a bath in our back yard fountain and sometimes Mama Deer brings the twins up to the back yard and my garden. We get a great view of Mother Nature and the Lake whenever breakfast is served on our screened in porch. 

We're proud to be members of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Missouri, which means we've been inspected and approved to open our home to you as guests. We're also members of the Professional Association of Innkeepers and support our Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Camdenton Area Chamber, and The Lake of the Ozarks Association with active memberships.

We're at the top of the list for romantic getaways and honeymoons and the best of both worlds for guys (golf, fishing) and ladies (sunning and shopping). If you have a special request, just let us know and we'll handle the details for you. I'll run out and buy the flowers or chill your favorite champagne, just say the word.
