St Patrick’s Day at Lake of the Ozarks

At Lake of the Ozarks you can celebrate St. Patty’s Day on the water or on land! Grab your green and head for the Lake this Saturday, March 15th, 2014. Celebrate on the water ‘wild, wild westside’ style.

The Lake West Chamber has planned a breakfast buffet beginning at 9AM at the Ozark Bar-B-Que, located on TT-75 by land. Father Patrick Dolan will bless the fleet of parade boats at 10:15 before the parade sets sets sail at 10:30. The Tropic Island Cruise Boat is available for those who want to enjoy a day relaxing on the water. This is a fun parade with colorfully decorated boats traveling on the Gravois Arm of the Lake. Shamrock Dollars will be awarded for the best dressed boat, crew, and landlubber!

Enjoy the 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade hosted by the Bagnell Dam Strip Association. This Lake Irish tradition begins at 1PM at the Al Elam Real Estate office on Business Hwy 54. Expect over 100 floats during this two hour rite of Spring! Ron and I hope you’ll make the Inn at Harbour Ridge Bed and Breakfast your home base for this busy weekend!

The 4th Annual Short Bus Shuffle will be held at various west side bars and restaurants on Saturday, March 15th. $5.00 wristbands are required to ride the buses which will stop at Cannon Smoked Saloon, Captain Ron’s, Scallywags, Chances ‘R,’ Boomers, Bear Bottom Resort, Big Dick’s Halfway Inn, Taterhoggz, the Branding Iron, and Hurricane Dolly’s.

The 6th Annual Chili for Charity Cook-Off will be from 11AM to 3PM at Tar-Tar-A Resort. Sample dozens of chili. Live entertainment provided by the Lake’s barefoot legend, Dale Blue. Cost is $7.00 for adults with all proceeds going to Citizens Against Domestic Violence.

The Lake has something for everyone to enjoy! More good news – the weatherman is calling for sunny skies and warm temps. So come enjoy the luck of the Irish this weekend at the Lake! Then come back and relax in front of your inn-room fireplace, soak in a private starlit hot tub, and enjoy a fun and fabulous breakfast. We’ll even let you kiss our blarney stone!

Happy hearts,
