What’s on your top ten list for your favorite things about fall? Autumn leaves, cozy fires, comfy clothes, pumpkin spice lattes, Thanksgiving, and Halloween may hit on some of your favorites! It’s hard for us to pick our favorite season here at Osage Beach because our guests have reasons for visiting all year long! Fall in particular is just extra fun because of all of the events and festivals happening around our inn. We’ve got just a few highlights below. Pumkin Chunkin’ Palooza – September 30, 2017. This fall extravaganza is great for the whole family and the spotlight will be on the trebuchet hurling pumpkins through the air! In addition to the pumkin’ chunkin’ competition, there will be a “best decorated” contest, “largest pumpkin” contest, microbrews and wines to taste, delicious food, and live music all day. The kids will enjoy face painting, petting zoo, climbing wall, bounce houses, hayrides, and carnival rides. It’s all taking place from 10am-6pm at the Ozarks Amphitheater in Camdenton.
32nd Annual Turkey Festival – September 30, 2017. Since 1985 this annual festival has been going strong! Taking place from 9am-5pm in downtown Eldon, you can enjoy the day trying delicious barbecue, fried pickles, Chicago hot dogs, gator burgers, kennel corn and of we can’t forget the favorite funnel cakes! Three stages will be offering live entertainment and a variety of crafters will be selling their goods. There is also a Turkey Festival Parade that will start at 10am.
Versailles Olde Tyme Apple Festival – October 7, 2017. This Olde Tyme festival is an award winning annual event that draws in crowds from all over the state and beyond. This very popular event boasts a parade, car show, 5K run, pancake breakfast, kids zone, loads of vendors, and much more.
17th Annual Osage Beach Fall Festival – October 14, 2017. This one will be happening from 10am-5pm at Osage Beach City Park. It’s a great celebration of the season with a ton of free activities for the kids, fishing and pellet shooting, displays, delicious food, arts and crafts booths, hayrides, live entertainment, and a finale evening concert.
Apple Butter Days & Fall Festival – October 20-21, 2017. Open from 9am-5pm at the Camden County Museum in Linn Creek, this festival will offer a myriad of craft demonstrations, a quilt raffle and mouth watering apple pies and apple butter of course! A soup and chili lunch will be available for donation and admission is free.
